  • The Sonoran desert with Superstition mountains in the background. The large upright cacti are Saquaro. The lightly colored cacti in the foreground are "jumping cholla." The distinct angular peak seen in the right background is Weaver's Needle. Local legend says that the shadow of this mountain points to the lost Dutchman's gold mine. This was taken from a jeep trail outside of Phoenix Arizona on November 10, 2007.
